Q: Tried to authorize my Mac

Tried to authorize my Mac, but it keeps telling me that I have already authorized 5 devices. So i pulled up my account and removed two devices and tried to authorize my Mac again....same box appears. What gives?

Authorizing a device and having a device registered to download music aren’t the same thing. To de-authorize a device you must do 1 of 2 things. 1) go to an authorized computer, run iTunes, and select the de-authorize item from the store menu or 2) go back to your account and select the de-authorize all computers option. This is something that can only be done once a year so you want to use this ability only when absolutely necessary. It is vital to remember to deauthorize a computer when you sell it
