May 8, 2015 12:55 PM in response to Ralph Landry1by tm madhouse, the image capture screen comes up, the scanner scans but then an error box comes up saying scanner not connected. It seems imac talks to the scanner, but scanner can't comunicate back.
THanks

May 9, 2015 7:46 AM in response to tm madhouseby Eric Root,In the router or the computer? If you turned it off on the router, you could be open to outside attacks/attempts to take over your computer.

May 9, 2015 10:32 AM in response to tm madhouseby tm madhouse,Its the firewall in the router. With it on the scanner will not send info to the imac. When I go into the router where you configure the firewall it is only set up for games consuls, I can't see a way to add the printer/scanner. I suppose the only thing to do is turn it back on and turn off when I have scanning to do , which luckily isn't often.
THanks for for all your imput. I have a lot to learn.
