Q: macbook pro will not boot
very very frustrated, i have a mid 2009 15inch Macbook Pro. the other day there was an updated on the Mac App store for yosemite which i updated it said it needed to restart but has never restarted. it comes up with a grey screen, apple logo and the progress bar, which takes ages to move. It gets half way then refuses to go any further. I have used alt to go into recovery which takes me to the option screen of time machine reinstall OSX ask a friend AND DISK UTILITY,,,,,, I have tried each of these countless times but it doesnt change a thing. I have had a world logo but nothing, i have got onto the web and to apple yosemite site to ntry and download osx again but nothing. this is driving me insane. i have tried safe mode, Pram mode ive tried with the original install disk, snowlepord disk. but nothing. cant believe that an update could have caused so much trouble ......begining to think that PC is better than MAC
