May 11, 2015 8:31 AM in response to cinemaDisplayby Lanny,It will depend on the model of Cinema Display. But a single type of adapter probably doesn't exist, as all recent model Cinema displays don't have HDMI inputs. They have either DVI or Mini DisplayPort connections.
For example, a USB-C to Mini DisplayPort exists, http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/121631713356?lpid=82&chn=ps but, it's not only pricey, but won't leave you with an extra USB port to extend USB to the Cinema display.
Or, if you have a Cinema display with DVI, you will need the $79 adapter recommended above plus a HDMI to DVI adapter or cord.

It's unfortunate that their video features being able to connect to Apple's LED Cinema Display, as Apple stopped selling it 2 years ago.

Nov 2, 2015 3:24 AM in response to cinemaDisplayby dhavalponda,Solution to connect the new Macbook 2015 version with only USBC port to older Apple displays with DVI output.
Ok i tried a lot of forums before buying the laptop and did not get any help. Eventually i book the new Macbook and also decided to try two different adapters (the 3 in one for USBC to HDMI and DVI to HDMI). The Apple genius team in London categorically recommended that it will not work. they said daisy chaining is not recommended for USBC.
However, the combination has worked very well and flawless delivery. So if you are stuck with an older display and have the new macbook buy the two adapters and you should be good.

Nov 2, 2015 9:37 AM in response to dhavalpondaby cepantoja,Dear dhavalponda,
Could you please clarify a little bit more about which adapters you are using? I have a 27" Apple LED Cinema Display (late 2010) and I can say that since I purchased my Macbook 12" last June I have tried almost all the possible combinations of adapters that have been discussed on the internet (combined or not with Apple's USBc adapters). None of them worked.
