Oct 16, 2014 8:01 PM in response to djdLuxby GJB66,First thing I did, I reported the problem to iTunes. I got a reply that they will contact me in 24 hrs. Second thing I performed a backup of my iPad as I suspected there was something wrong with the software. Third I did a reset on the iPad erasing all information. after that I performed a full restore of a backup previously done using iTunes in my computer . Everything worked fine.
In the meantime got an email from iTunes with a message saying that I will get a refund for the rented movies and that I should download them again If I wanted. I did download the movies again and it work ok after the reset. WARNING! I donot recommend to do this as you will be erasing your information and without a backup, you wil Lose All information And settings
Also I have iTune Match and all my music is in the cloud.
note that this worked ok for me. Do this at your own risk.

1. From Settings, signed out of iTunes.
2. Turned off iPad.
3. Turned on iPad.
4. From Settings, signed into iTunes.
5. Re-opened "Videos" and was able to view rental without error recurring.
Hope that works for others.

Oct 14, 2015 7:22 PM in response to jmrsadby Caitlin_McDonough,This person is literally the only person on this site that knows how to fix this problem and it's such a simple solution. I don't ******* get it. It should be easier to find. I had this problem two months ago and found your response and it fixed it instantly. I just had the same problem again today and I went searching for this same comment and just made an account for the sole purpose of commenting on this. Everyone else's solutions are so complex. This is the simplest one and it works. So- Thank you!!!!
