Q: app-specific password is not working

I'm trying to login into iCloud on Fantastical 2. I have two-step verification enabled. So, I generated an app-specific password. But, it fails to sign in.

Any thoughts as to why?

What a pain this is. After much head scratching, I guess it's not the Apple ID password they want because it didn't work; it's the alpha-numeric CODE they give you (16 characters no dashes). I had to input it into my iPhone when it asked as well. If the Apple ID password didn't work, I put in the code. So far it's working for Safari, Messages, Fantastical, and other apps that uses iCloud syncing. So far, so good. ps. Just in case it asks for the App Specific code again, I copied and pasted the CODE into Stickies on my iMac.
