Q: my power adapter is now working intermittently. is there a way to fix it or do i need to replace?

the power adapter for my Mac Book Pro has started to work only once in a while. can this be repaired or should it be replaced? it is five years old.

Depending on the age and cycle count of the battery, that also is in the running
to be considered for replacement. A third component part that can affect charge
is the DC-in Board or MagSafe Board. This requires a service to replace if bad.
