Q: Can't empty Trash

When I'm trying to copy a file, this message comes out

"The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)"

What does it mean?

So, because I am not able to copy the file, I drag that file to Trash folder cause I intend to erase it forever; but when I'm emptying the trash, another message comes out

"The operation can’t be completed because the item “” is in use."

I've tried to click continue, but it doesn't work at all. What should I do?

Help me, please......
