Do you have your music on your main computer? Did you let iTunes Match scan your iTunes library on your computer.

I bought the iPad, signed to iTunes and got all my music but as said, because of space sent my music to iTunes Match. I never had iTunes Match on my laptop as had plenty of memory, if I need to access a PC or laptop to look through my music or cable my iPad to then this is something I canperhaps arrange, I have very limited knowledge of technology.

Did you subscribe to match from your ipad? Subscribing to iTunes from an iOS device.
IF so and you did not allow match to scan your iTunes library on your computer, you will probably have lost your music other than that purchased from iTunes Store.
