Q: Mousepad/Trackpad malfunction
Hello
I have had my MacBook Pro for 3 year now and just today my mousepad started malfunctioning. The cursor jumps, drags slowly and outright disappears at times. I have no installed or uninstalled anything nor done anything I would think could cause this. I have also already restarted it a couple of times and I am at a loss.
Anyone who knows what is up, or if it is fixable? Or is it simply old?

In addition, some times a VERY thorough cleaning of the trackpad will restore functionality.
Also the battery resides underneath the trackpad. Open the MBP and inspect if the battery has expanded and is interfering with the trackpad. If so, replace the battery immediately.
