Q: Email from an Exchange server is deleted permanently after reading it on iPhone 6

I lost two emails today from an Exchange server after reading them on my iPhone. When I rushed back to my work office, the emails were not on the Microsoft Outlook client on my Windows 7 computer and no longer showing on the iPhone. Using IOS 8.3 on a iPhone, The deleted emails do not show up in the Deleted folder in Outlook. These were two separate incidents today. Other than these two deleted emails, I received all my other emails.

Any ideas what could be going on?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3, null

Maybe there's an accidental button press that deleted them?

Have you talked to your IT department about it?

Have you checked for the missing messages on outlook online?

I use multiple exchange accounts, reading them does not delete them.

Any chance the sender recalled the messages?

There is no delete button that was accidentally pressed. Plus if I would have deleted the message, it would appear in the DELETE folder until I would have permanently deleted it. There is no record of the email anywhere on the system. I did talk to one sender and she stated it was not recalled and could not/should not have been recalled after I had read it. I do have the IT department looking into it.

I ask again, Have you checked for the missing messages on outlook online?

    Try resetting your network settings?

Let us know if it happens again, otherwise, must've been some hiccup in the network.
