Q: How do i get a old ID changed to a new ID

I have two accounts I would like to merge old account to new account

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10), new to all of apple products

    It is not possible "merge" Apple ID accounts. Whatever purchases you made with the old ID will forever be tied to that account. Normally it only affects you when  you need to update the apps from that account. Free ones you can just download again from the new account.

    The best way to deal with two Apple IDs under which you have made purchases is to make the password the same on both IDs. That way, when you are asked to provide a password for an update, it won't matter which ID is asking for it. Choose one of the IDs to use going forward.
