Q: Is there a way to convert raw images to jpeg in Photos?
OS 10.10.3
iMac 21.5-inch,Mid 2011
Processor:.....2.5 GHZ Intel Core i5
Memory:.......12 GB 1333 MHz DDr3
Graphics: .....AMD Radeon HD 6750 512 MB
(Camera: Sony A58)
Photos version 1.0
I decided to try shooting raw format, and was able to download it to my version of Photos. I would like to share these photos via email, but because of there size (and because of the possibility that they will not open on the recipients Macbook, I would like to convert them to .jpg.
I have searched Photos Help and Googled the question in various wordings. The results have been discouraging.
My Question: Other than downloading additional software, is there a way to convert raw images to jpeg in Photos? If so, any help would be appreciated
Thank you.

Use the share capability in Photos - it will share a JPEG
OR
Export as a JPEG and attach that to the email
Photos (exactly like iPhoto) stores the RAW original and records your edits applying them on the fly the the original when you share it or export it - you can not change the original in Photos - it must remain untouched but you can have a JPEG version any time your want as above by sharing or exporting
