Q: Unable to install and update Keynote on my iPad 2

I have tried every possible solution I could find on the Web with no luck.

Anyone here is in the same boat and found a successful solution?

Thanks

Richard

Just for your reference, I had no problem updating Keynote on my iPad 2 iOS 8.3.  Hope you get it resolved soon.

One suggestion.  Have you tried deleting the App from iTunes then redownloading it & then syncing to your iPad again.  Just a suggestion.  I often update my Apps through iTunes since I have several devices to update & don't want to have to do multiple downloads for the same update.

Yes I did deleted Keynote from iTunes then reimported it.

Unfortunatly, the transfert to my iPad upon syncing does not get completed for some ambiguous reason.

    Thanks

Had the same problem as JazzHot and went through the same steps with no luck. Checked iCloud and found a file that had a conflicting copy of a keynote file between my mac and iPad, which is what was causing the stalled update. Once I resolved the conflict, I downloaded Keynote from AppStore and it seems to be working. Thanks for the heads up to look for conflicting files...

Well, i can't say that I have that luck.

The only choice I have now is to initialise completely my iPad 2.

Before doing so, here a few observations:

    - When deleting Keynote from my iTunes library, it always come back when syncing. That is per design by Apple I found out.

    - Wjhen syncing to iPad, the process stops at about 40%

    - When i try installing Keynote directly in my iPad from App Store, same thing happens. Installation stops at about 40%

    - I have searched for all possible stucked downloads and there were none.

    - In iTunes, the only possible options I have upon selecting Keynote is "Update" or "Will update". There is not delete option unlike all my other apps.

    - In the iPad, if I tap on the stucked downloading icon, it changes to "pause" (in french"

    - Taping it again, resume to downloading but nothing happens.

Time for the drastic solution, initialise the iPad (hoping it will work), unless there is someone out there with a miracle solution.

Thank you all who tried helping me.

I Went through the discussion again and I don't recall seeing this. I might have missed it, so if you already tried this, I apologize for suggesting it again.

Reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings.  You will not lose any data. The iPad will reboot on its own. You will have to enter some of the device settings again, including the passwords for your WiFi networks.

This may not help at all, but it is far easier to do than restoring the device and starting all over again.

    EUREKA EUREKA EUREKA

    I finally got it.

I used an application called CleanMyPhone and deleted the faulty stucked download of Keynote which I was not able to do using the standard way of deleting an app from the iPad. Taping the X on the jiggling icon did not do anything. CleanMyPhone was able to delete it.

I then proceeded in syncing from iTunes and Keynote installed perfectly.

Thanks everyone again and hope this will help others in the same boat.

    Best regards
