Q: Yosemite printing problem

I just got a new MacBook Pro with the latest OS (Yosemite) and wireless printing is not working. I've seen a lot of questions on this topic, no good answers so far. I have a Canon Pixma MG6120 at home and a Xerox at work and cannot get either one working wirelessly. I reinstalled both from scratch.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Look here for how to use the latest drivers available for your printers.

Then Reset Printing System, to force OS X to use the newest drivers (whether from Apple servers or already installed on your Mac):

Greg has the answers in his box, but in general, printer issues in Apple have been a thing of the past since most printers work with generic drivers. Make sure your wireless printer preferences is set up correctly with the Mac and its on the same network, and make sure the Mac is on the same printing network and not your wireless modem network when you're printing! Look at your Network Preferences (Wifi) in your tool bar and see if you "see" your printer and then check it. Read the literature that came with the printer and make sure the settings are correct. If you continue to have issues at home, consider connecting the printer directly to the USB port in the back of the wireless router. That is always a good work around. I don't know if you can do that at work or not.
