Q: why does one phone ring when another is dialed?

Another phone on my apple account rings when my phone is dailed. I have checked the obvious setting within messages but still happens.

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3

Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off on both phones. It is a feature of Continuity Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
