May 19, 2015 7:25 PM in response to Bronxguy1114by Andy Z 03,FaceTime has been available since the iPad 2, so the original iPad is excluded. However, there could be other reasons for the absence of the icon, such as Restrictions. Go to Settings > General > Restrictions and see if they're turned on. If so, go ahead and shut Restrictions off. This link might help you as far as identifying the model: Identify your iPad model - Apple Support
I hope that helps!
