Q: Mail and iMessage Notifications on iPhone and Watch not updating

When I delete mail and iMessage notifications on the iPhone, they remain in the watch notifications list.  I am finding myself  sending extra time to maintain and clean up two notification areas - instead of saving time from having the watch - this seems wrong - do I have something mis configureed?

Messages unfortunately stay on the Notification list (and in the Message app on the Watch) until you delete them. Seems to work that way with all iOS devices - the need to delete them from each device - at least that is what happens on my iPhone and iPad.

Mail should be deleted from the Mail app on the Watch when you delete them from your iPhone (assuming you are using an iCloud mail account).

But all Notifications stay on the Watch (whether they are Messages, eMails or Alerts) until you delete them. What you can do is force touch (holding the screen longer instead of tapping) and you will get a message to clear all the notifications at once. A bit easier. (Wish you could do this with the Messages in the Messages app.)
