Q: New 2015 MacBook showing 4844 mAh at full charge.
I love my new 2015 MacBook; but I'm concerned I may have a defective battery. My model is the BTO 1.3Ghz model with 512GB (top available). According to what I've read, the battery should be 5263 mAh. After only 14 cycles mine shows max charge of 4844 mAh. That's about 8% off I believe.
I'm not complaining about its battery performance, as it is adequate for my needs. I just wonder if I should be taking it in to be looked at. I'd hate for it to have a bad cell or something that might suddenly get worse while traveling.
What do you all think? What Full Charge Capacity are you seeing on yours in System Profiler (About This Mac -> More Info -> Power) ? Maybe I just had the bad luck of getting a slightly low mAh battery and I should just ignore it?
MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), 1.3Ghz 512GB SSD 8GB RAM

There are some general bits of information to read through and see how they apply to your
computer situation, and configuration of software + hardware specification...
•Mac notebooks: All about batteries - Apple Support
Battery life expectation can vary with conditional use, situations, and personal preferences.
•MacBook (Retina 12-inch, Early 2015) - Technical Specifications
Hopefully the unit will see some increase in battery life, depending on load factors, temperature
and other use factor including environmental; however if the unit is relatively new, you may seek
the advice of an authorized Apple trained specialist or at least see if the Apple Store genius can
look into it to see if there's an indication of an issue. Slight difference between your experience
& a stated higher battery life could be accounted for in how the computer is used, & where.
In any event...
Good luck & happy computing!
