    If it's an important project, you might want to complete it before updating. Just in case…

     

    To your specific content  question, the media will not be affected by your update. However, any library that you open will be compatible only with the updated version. That's normally not a worry. But if some glitch arises and you want to restore to a previous version, you would need to use a backup library.

    Thank you for the reply. I guess it's safe to assume that a project created with final cut version 10.2 will be glitch-free when I update to 10.2.1, right?

    I'm not sure how to make a 'backup library'.
