Q: has anyone found bluetooth headphones that successfully pair with Apple Watch (not Beats)

I've been trying to pair the Apple Watch with a few different bluetooth headphones including LG and Kinivo without success. Not really interested in buying another set of bluetooth headphones or dropping $200 on them. Any one have success pairing Apple Watch with any bluetooth device?

As far as I can see, there's no way to stream music via the Watch to the headphones

Since I read that Pandora and some other streaming service already have Watch apps/extensions, it would be nice if this was implemented in the future. Yes - obviously you would still need the paired iPhone nearby - but a nice idea.

(Probably be implemented when Apple starts their iTunes/Beats streaming service. Be interesting to see if they allow other services like Spotify to do the same.)

I was successful in getting my BlueTooth to pair .... Excited as all get out, I headed off to the gym.  The head set works until you start moving your arm,  I cannot keep the headset connected to the blue tooth unless I am standing still and not moving my arms.... Kinda hard to lift weights unless you move your arms.

Anyone else having this problem ? Have you resolved it ?

Funny - the first several times I paired my Jaybird Bluebud X with my iPhone (not paired to the Watch itself) everything worked great regardless of the exercise I was doing (walking, jogging, indoor and outdoor bike riding, treadmill). No interruptions or issues at all. But today - I decided to run Map My Run on my iPhone 6 at the same time I used the Workout App during my fast walk to compare the readings - and the Bluetooth earbuds kept disconnecting from the iPhone. About halfway through the walk, I turned off Map My Run and had no further issues.

UPDATE- The AudioPure Activa bluetooth  headphones I purchased have been working out fine. I paired them without a problem and am happy with them.

I have been using the MPow Swift Bluetooth Earbuds with my Apple Watch at the gym for the past week and haven't had a single issue.

I paired my headphones -Beats- to the watch.

Now I can listen to music but when I receive a call or call by myself, the headphones are dead and the sound is on my I phone.

Can somebody help me with that, too?

I have the Mpow Cheetah headphones.  I had no problem pairing them to my watch.  But when I jog, the sound keeps cutting out for a tenth of a second.  It is absolutely correlated with my swinging my arm.  If I keep jogging but just hold my hand up to my chest so my arm doesn't swing, the sound is fine and consistent.    And sometimes during the run its fine for a while.

But othertimes I get very short dropouts (again, maybe 0.1 seconds at a time) if my arm is swinging.

    Anybody else seen this?

My theory is that the processor has gotten busy analyzing stuff because the sudden acceleration of my arm is tripping the motion co-processor into thinking about something.  I'm hoping this is a software glitch they'll fix, or maybe the watch is spending a lot of time analyzing me because it's early days --- i've only run with the watch twice.

anybody else experience anything like this?

I was able to pair my LG HBS900 Head set with my watch. But I did take some of the responders advice here and had my phone forget the headset and then tried with the watch and it worked fine. I just got my watch and I haven't put any music on it yet. But my watch does say that it is paired.

UUnfortunately that is the way it seems to work for now. Phone calls don't seem to come over Bluetooth headphones synced to the watch.

My 66 Audio BTS headphones pair just fine. And I used them with my iPhone 6 with no issues.

They paired with my Apple Watch perfectly and they seemed to work fine. Then I went outside and mowed the lawn with them on and they kept cutting out. The headphones would beep and then there would be silence. Half the time it would start playing after 5-10 seconds. The other half of the time, I would have to back in and select them to get them to work again.

I went inside and unpaired them from my iPhone and I thought that seemed to help but it kept happening so I gave up. Very annoying, especially since I wasn't even really moving my arm around wildly or anything - it stay put mostly holding the handle of the mower.

Hopefully when I try them the next time this doesn't happen or I've wasted money on both the headphones and the Apple Watch - one of the biggest selling features for me was to be able to run without wires - just the Watch and BT headphones.

I had the same problem with my Mpow cheetah BT headphones (jogging, sound cut out.  worked with iPhone, not watch).  But if I held my arms from swinging while jogging, they were fine.  not very practical of course.

Since then, I've bought Jaybirds Bluebuds and have gone jogging with them for 45 minutes at a time, 3 times so far:  not a single dropout the entire run, with my Apple watch.  So definitely the watch works with blue tooth for a run --- if you've got the right headphones.

not sure who's fault it is on the Mpow cheetah --- but since they were only $30 and the sound kind of sucked( not that i cared for jogging) the blue buds suit me just fine.  better controls too.

    i'm happy now.
