May 25, 2015 6:16 AM in response to sunny_teacherby R C-R,I'm not sure what you mean about getting the files to match up or what that has to do with your iPad. As explained here, after migration, any changes or edits you make in iPhoto aren't reflected in Photos, & visa versa -- each app maintains its own libraries independently of anything done in the libraries of the other one.
If you could tell us more about how your iPad photos are "in a mess" we might be able to help you sort that out, but as it is you haven't provided us much to work with.

May 25, 2015 7:43 AM in response to R C-Rby sunny_teacher,OK. I did not understand that the two did not communicate. I didn't ask for Photo, it just arrived as obviously there is no iPhoto on the iPad and the IOS update put it in my Mac too. If the don' communicate then I think I can sort it. Thanks

May 25, 2015 8:37 AM in response to sunny_teacherby R C-R,Just so there is no confusion about it, iOS updates don't put anything on Macs. The Mac Photos app was part of the OS X 10.10.3 update.
