    Hello there,

That article has nothing to help this issue.  I am trying to activate an iphone 4 for a friend and it keeps coming up with this error.  I have tried everything short or jailbreaking it and putting a downgraded version of itunes on it.  Why is it so hard to use these phones?  I have been an avid iphone fan since they came out, but this beats all i've ever dealt with.  This is so frustrating.  It is not a hardware problem.  I have the latest itunes, uninstalled and reinstalled probably five times, I have windows 10 and I cannot find any fix issues for it.  Everything is up to date, I have used several different cords.  It still will not allow me to activate the device.  I can use my itunes fine on my phone and my mothers phone I should mention.  It recognizes the phone and allows me to access them.  Is there anything short of having to send the phone off or schedule an apt with a concierge and end up spending more money for the phone to be fixed?  Since so many others are having the same issue there has to be a link, somewhere.
