Apr 9, 2015 5:38 AM in response to ElDiabloRojoby Terence Devlin,★HelpfulI use a Wordpress site and upload easily from Photos as I did from iPhoto/Aperture. You can use a Tumblr or Flickr, which does not require membership for viewing.

Apr 9, 2015 6:20 AM in response to Terence Devlinby ElDiabloRojo,Thanks for the information. I have my own domain where I like to keep my photos. I was looking more for a utility to export photos as a web alumni in order upload them to my site.
Thanks again.

May 27, 2015 3:52 AM in response to ElDiabloRojoby PhilBoston,I agree, I don't want my pics on 3rd party sites etc. I want them on my site.
IPhoto exported useful html pages into which I could put individual comments, etc and add to my website.
I miss that in Photos and am glad IPhoto is still on my Mac,
The new Photo features are for sending pics to your grandkids. I don't have any. I need web functionality and wish "they" hadn't quietly removed the "export as web page" feature.
I think I need to keep using IPhoto.

May 27, 2015 4:04 AM in response to PhilBostonby Terence Devlin,Wordpress isn't a 3rd party site. It's a CRM you can install on your own site. HTML is really simple to learn, Markdown is even simpler. They didn't quietly (or noisily) remove anything. It's a whole new app. Iphoto still runs.

Jul 21, 2015 11:16 AM in response to Terence Devlinby Billspoon,iPhoto does not appear to run on Yosemite. When I click on my old uPhoto version it sends me the app store with the message that I must download a version compatible with yosemite, but the App Store says this is not available in my country (USA).

Jul 21, 2015 11:59 AM in response to Billspoonby Terence Devlin,iPhoto does run on Yosemite. This has now been posted (literally) hundreds of times on this forum:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
****
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

Jul 21, 2015 4:54 PM in response to Terence Devlinby Billspoon,I did manage to download a version of iPhoto that will open, thank you. It does not see any photos that been added since I moved to the Photos App. Those are the photos I wish to organize using the iPhoto export to web page capability. Is that possible?
