Q: "About This Mac" reports that I'm running Intel HD 3000 Graphics, but I have a discreet card.
I have an Early 2011 15 inch MBP with discreet Radeon graphics. However, in About This Mac, it reports "Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB" as my graphics card. Why is it not reporting the discreet card? Does this mean there's something wrong with my discreet card?
Thanks in advance.

Run an application requiring discrete graphics card and check.
It is only shown when an application requiring discrete card is run.
Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor > Energy
When an application requiring discrete graphic processor is running
you will see “Yes” under the column heading “Requires High Perf…”
