Q: download time yosemite

Attempting to download from Apple Store Yosemite. Can't tell if there's a download going on- it's been over 5-6 hours. The icon in the Lauchpad shows a dot, which hasn't changed, at the beginning of the download bar. Any suggestions what to do- tempted to remove from Launchpad and RE-Download.

Sign out, restart the app store then sign back in and try again.

Reading this I realized that by going to PURCHASES in the Apple Store menu, one can see the download - and remaining size/time- Thanks, it was more than it looks with the icon, now 2.75gb, with 4hrs 37min to go Thanks
