Q: Photos app won't start

I recently bought this MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) and when I try to open my photos app I get the Welcome to photos app window but when I press "Get Started" I get a message box that says "An unexpected error has occurred: An unexpected error has occurred. Please quit and restart the application." and everytime I restart the app nothing changes. The help would be appreciated.Screen Shot 2015-05-31 at 1.39.50 PM.png

    Greetings Jacarst,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that the Photos application will not open and you receive an unexpected error alert. To begin troubleshooting this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article. Then information within, including using Disk Utility and possibly reinstalling Mac OS X, will be able to help you isolate the problem and work towards a resolution.
