Jun 4, 2015 8:23 AM in response to BDAquaby treadwellblackwell,Sorry - you're right - I'm on a PowerMac G5. However, I am unable to launch AHT from the DVD. I tried holding down "D", command-D and "C" (which is what the Read Me file says to hold) and nothing works. AHT will NOT launch.
I should also mention that I no longer have SOUND on my computer. So, that is another issue in addition to the scrambled screen. I wonder what those two issues combined indicates. It seems like it's more than a graphics card hardware issue if sound is also involved.
Any other troubleshooting ideas? I have spent way too much time on trying to get to the bottom of this without any results. Thanks!

No PowerMac G5 can run Yosemite. They are hardware constrained to running mo higher than Mac OS 10.5.8. What OS version to you really have???

Jun 4, 2015 6:13 PM in response to Allan Jonesby treadwellblackwell,I Should probably start this thread over again. I'm on a Mac Pro running OS 10.10.3. My monitor scrambles randomly and I have lost all sound. I reset the PRAM and tried running AHT but couldn't get that to work from the system DVD.
