What is Apple's official position on this generic problem? Many including myself cannot answer calls in apple watch. What is the official solutions from Apple?
- What - When - How official Apple solution? I tried other ones including others listing and including cold restart of iPhone. Reinstalling watch did not work either! Thank you,
Unless Apple makes some sort of statement, no one would know.
If you want help with your technical support problem, you'll have to give some details. It's not a generic problem; it's a fairly specific one. What happens when you try to answer calls on your watch?

Jun 4, 2015 7:59 AM in response to Meg St._Clairby fernandito51,Thank you. I wish to tell you what happens when a call comes into the aWatch, but they only come into the iPhone. Except for receiving calls, aWatch behaving very well. Some postings claim interferences with Bluetooth, wifi, reseting aWatch, reseting iPhone, but just like for many others problem persists. Does Apple monitor these postings and offer some real solutions like:
- This is the problem...
- It happens because this and this and under these circumstances..;
- The proven solution is ....
- No solution, but we are having a software upgrade coming up in ...
Thank you again - it may not be strictly generic for all aWatch users, but it is a generic problem for many!

No, Apple does not monitor these forums. You're watch came with 90 days of complimentary phone support. So, if you want an answer from Apple, you should call them directly.

Jun 4, 2015 9:39 AM in response to fernandito51by nicolafromnorth vancouver,Are you in the Middle East? If you are, and you have a phone without Face Time, it will not make or receive calls. At the moment there is no fix for that. If you are not in the Middle East, call Apple Support. I have tried everything and talked to them many times. They cannot figure it out and have passed it on to their engineers. But every person I've spoken to at Apple (5 different people so far) has said they've never had this question before, so the more people that call with the same problem, the better.

Jun 9, 2015 1:38 PM in response to Meg St._Clairby Glenn12150,Turn your watch off, then close all of the open apps on your phone, (double tap the home button) then turn off your phone.
Turn your watch back on, then turn your phone back on, and allow them to re-pair. (Just a minute)
This worked fine for me.

I'm not having any problems with my watch. Perhaps you meant to reply to the OP?

Jun 9, 2015 6:51 PM in response to Glenn12150by MuddySwamp,Worked for me also. I didn't turn off the watch until after closing all apps so I think that sequence is not critical. And BTW I didn't know before about closing apps. (touch the app window near the bottom and swipe up). I closed 24 apps. I had no idea.

Aug 25, 2015 1:45 PM in response to fernandito51by rr_edwina,I had the same problem with not getting the calls on my watch and after a reset and repairing . I found I had my iPhone bluetooth connected to my lan line phone system and once I disconnected that I was able to receive calls on my watch.

Aug 26, 2015 10:52 AM in response to fernandito51by Greg LeMunyan,This is a late entry to this post. When I got my Apple Watch I had the online session to teach me. After that I couldn't get my watch to do much, didn't receive texts or emails or any notifications for that matter. I finally decided to go to the Apple Store. While waiting for my appointment my Apple Watch app on my iPhone stopped working. The up shot was Apple told me I should POWER OFF my iPhone every several days. I had accumulated "Memory errors" over time. Had to reinstall OS and restore my settings. Took many hours to reinstall. However since that day I have been powering off my phone and watch periodically and all I can say is the Watch has some AMAZING capability.
Lesson learned.

Aug 26, 2015 2:10 PM in response to Greg LeMunyanby Meg St._Clair,I'm glad it works for you. I can tell you that I've had my watch since about April 30th. I've never turned it off. It works perfectly. But then, it always has.
