Q: My Iphone 5S makes and receives calls but i can't hear anything they are saying

So the voicemail feature works on my phone and I can hear normally.  The speakers on the phone work normally.  Calls also don't work with headphones on.  I was in Boston once visiting and the phone made a call and i could hear the other person, otherwise it hasn't worked.

    If I understand your question correctly, it sounds like the call functionality works correctly on your iPhone unless headphones are connected. Are the headphones you use Apple EarPods or other earbuds that connect directly to the 3.5-mm stereo headphone minijack on your iPhone? Are the headphones you use operated wirelessly through Bluetooth?

     

    If they are earbuds that connect directly to your iPhone, I would suggest trying to isolate the issue by working through the suggested steps outlined in the attached article below.
