Q: How do I recover my files from my standard account after i formatted my macintosh HD?
After formatting my Macintosh HD by erasing it in the disk utility in the process of restarting my computer and pressing and holding down cmd R, I realized I only backed up my administrator account, which i was using. all of my sister's important files were all erased. After installing my OS, I tried to recover it using stellar phoenix. I saw the folder of my standard acc. but I couldn't see anything under it. It was just the folder with the name and nothing under it, just another empty folders of public, movies, pictures etc.
I really need to recover it because its really important to my sister. Please help me.
And also some said that you should not write anything on the HD, does writing mean like installing apps or adding space on your HD's storage, cuz if it is I already did. PLEASE, anyone, HELP ME!!!
Before formatting I was using Yosemite 10. something but right now I'm using OS X 10.9.5.
MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
