Jun 28, 2015 1:03 AM in response to jimfromspringfieldby nick101,The resolution is to reset the watch

Jun 28, 2015 5:53 AM in response to nick101by jimfromspringfield,I unpaired it and then paired it again. That has worked so far and it's been about 12 hours since. If I were to reset the watch will I lose all data and does it bring the watch to it's original condition?

Jan 8, 2016 11:51 AM in response to Johnston-Chanby simplycaren,I unpaired my watch and now it's telling me the battery is too low to do anything (though I still had at least 40% charge). And of course I do not have the charger with me at my office. Anything I can do to get around this problem?

Mar 17, 2016 8:09 AM in response to Johnston-Chanby Kilowatt76,I know this is an old post but I just bought an Apple Watch 42mm Stainless Steel and I have had it for 5 days. The low battery indicator came on at 96% battery life remaining. It would stay on for a few seconds and then it would go away after I went to a different screen(apps, settings etc.) It has done this everyday since I have worn my watch. I contacted Apple Support chat and they told me to unpair my watch with my phone(long process) and pair it again. The pretty cool thing is, it automatically creates a backup and when you pair again it keeps all of your settings, apps etc. My watch seems to be ok and I have not seen the low battery indicator for 24 hours. I hope it does not come back!

Hi
You are referring to the Disconnected status icon (this is not a "low battery indicator"):
This icon is shown on your watch face (ie when viewing the time) whenever your Apple Watch has become disconnected from your iPhone (and also has not connected to Wi-Fi as a fallback).
Bluetooth disconnections can be normal, happening whenever the paired iPhone becomes unavailable (for example, if it is turned off or too far away). Your watch and iPhone should reconnect automatically a short while after being brought close together again.
For the best performance from your watch (including the most power-efficient communication between your watch and iPhone), keep both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi permanently enabled on your iPhone.

Mar 17, 2016 9:42 AM in response to Johnston-Chanby Jonathan UK,If your watch and iPhone do not reconnect automatically after being brought back within range of each other, then - rather than unpairing and re-pairing your watch - keep the devices close by each other and follow these steps until they do reconnect:
- Check that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your iPhone:
- It may help to toggle Bluetooth off and on again on your iPhone (Settings > Bluetooth).
- Check that Airplane Mode is not enabled on your watch:
- When viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on the watch face > swipe left / right to the Settings Glance.
- If the Settings Glance already states Connected and the symbol at the upper-right corner is a green phone symbol, then your watch is already connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
- If your watch is not connected and Airplane Mode is turned on, tap the button to turn it off.
- It may otherwise help to toggle Airplane Mode on and off again.
- When viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on the watch face > swipe left / right to the Settings Glance.
- Restart both devices, turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:
- To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off;
- To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
- Check that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your iPhone:

To clarify: it should not be necessary to unpair and re-pair your watch. See my previous replies for more information.
