Q: Music added automatically (not only U2)

Hi!

Not only the U2 album appeared on my Iphone, but also some other songs that are quite annoying.

I used the link Apple provided to erase the U2 album and worked fine, but I can't erase those other songs (Thing called love, mix from a fitness album, Culture of Fear by Thievery Corporation, Hot like sauce by Pretty Lights, a Foo Fighters song from an iTunes festival, a Bassnectar song and Ritmo Machine)

I haven't found anything about this...

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3

    Hi caroda,

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPhone. If you are having issues deleting music in iTunes from an unknown source, you may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful (apologies if you have already seen it):

Delete music, movies, podcasts, and other content from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch - Apple Support

    Regards,

    - Brenden

    Thanks for your answer!

I've already tried that and when I try to swipe to the left side to show the "Delete" option it doesn't work...

Are those files showing a cloud icon?

It is possible that they are past purchases that are not actually on your device (until you tap them & they stream or download to the device).

You can hide specific past purchases from all devices as described at …

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201322

Another option is to disable the option to show all past purchases in the Music app. This is done in the Settings app > Music > Show all Music (turn it off).

Once those items are hidden you should be able to delete the files that are currently on the device. Bear in mind that iTunes may sync files back onto devices if they are set to copy specific playlists etc. In that case check the iTunes settings when you connect the device.
