Q: Using 85W charger and still mentioned 45W

Hello everyone,

I am on MBP 15" mid-2014, I use a 85W charger magsafe, but when I check my battery status on my system report, It mentioned that the power of my charger is 45W. Anyone has same issues and how can I fix it? Thanks all for answers

P.S : Here the mention on system report (I use french language)

Hi handsome0boy,

If you are having unusual power or charging issues, you may want to try resetting the System Management Controller (SMC), as outlined in the following article:

You may also want to double-check your adapter, and/or test with another 85w adapter if possible, as noted here:
