Q: iCloud transferring files downloaded from PC and uploaded to Macbook Pro

I am about to get a new Macbook Pro and switch from my PC. Can I use iCloud to transfer my files from my PC to retrieve them from my new Macbook? Are there any complications to this or is this pretty straightforward?
