Is there a way to STOP the constant password request from Apple Mail?

Sometime my mail server is SLOW to respond and there is nothing I can do about this. I would like Mail to STOP requesting password, just trust the information I gave and not constantly distract me from other work. (for example if I want to see other received mail, prepare new mail, etc....) It is just annoying and frustrating.

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

If your password is accepted, and Mail connects to the account, but you're prompted for the password repeatedly, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Note: these steps don't apply if the server rejects the password. That's a different problem.

    1. When prompted for the password, check the box marked

Remember this password in my keychain.

    2. Check that the keychain is working.

    3. Check that the default keychain is unlocked.

Not an option in OS 10.10.3, the "keychain" box is not there anymore

[I think in 10.10.3, Mail is not using keychain at all. I cannot confirmed that but I have explored that option a lot]

    Thank for trying.

What is the exact, complete text of the password prompts you see?

I see the same as this post:

If Mail on your Mac keeps asking for your password - Apple Support

The window in 10.10.3 does not have the box to click (option to put in keychain)

The password is indeed not save in the keychain (I do not see it)

Back up all data before proceeding.

Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.

If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.

Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select

              Change Settings for Keychain "login"

In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.

    From the menu bar, select

              Keychain Access Preferences... First Aid

There are four checkboxes in the window that opens. Check all of them. if they're not already checked. Close the window.

    Select

              Keychain Access Keychain First Aid

from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.

If you use iCloud Keychain, open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device.

    Thank you,

I had migrated my account from one computer to another and there was indeed privilege setting that were improper (in need of repair).

Your solution gave light to this problem and solved it.

    Many thanks,
