Q: Migration to Photos. Cannot see old library on external drive.

hi my library is on an external drive. I have migrated to photos as part of the OS Yosemite upgrade and now I cannot access my photo library. what should be done to fix this?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

    Hello LarryHN!

     

    The format is Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled). When trying to change to the library location in Finder by double-clicking the Photos says it does not have the necessary permissions. The Apple recommended steps deal with predetermined location on the computer - not when the photo library is located on the external drive. That is the reason for my question.
