Q: voicememos lose title when transferring to folder

I need to put my voice memos collected in itunes from my iphone into a folder so I can put them on an external hard drive.  Upon transferring them to a folder, the title is gone, just a long number is there.  This is not useful as I will not be able to search in them.  How is the title retained when transferring to a folder?

    Hello there purrrky,

     

    It sounds like you're dragging the voicememos from iTunes to your folder but rather than taking the name you gave it, you see letters and numbers. I get the same thing when I do this and it looks like that's expected, so to make it work for me I had to create an AAC version of the file, then drag that version to the folder I wanted. You can highlight multiple memos and convert them all at once to make it more convenient:

     File > Create New Version
