Q: Need version update history of FCP X from 2011 with system requirements.

I used to have the Apple link detailing all the update improvements and system requirements for each version from the introduction of FCP X but I can no longer find it and a Google search has failed.

Has anyone got it?

OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), Mac mini i5 2.5GHz & iMac FCP X

    That will do.

By "system requirements" I mainly meant "Operating System".

JUst from memory the original OS was 10.8.5. 10.1 required Mavericks. Versions prior to 10.1.2 wouldn't run in Yosemite. 10.2 required Yosemite.

10.3 will probably require El Capitan and be written for Metal.

Thanks Tom, just what I required.

For some reason i thought the original FCP X of 2011 would run on OS X 10.6.8?

YYou're probably right. 10.8.5 is too recent for June 2011. OS 10.7 was released in July 2011, so it must have been 10.6.8.

For anyone as anally retentive as myself who may be viewing this topic, I have just found the full list of all the new features of different FCP X versions.

The magic phrase I was not including in my google search was "release notes".
