Q: The exercise ring seems to have stopped working?

The exercise ring seems to have stopped working after the 1.0.1 update. It's stuck on 1 minute, even though I have had more than 3,000 steps. Is this due to the update, or is the exercise ring no longer calculating walks, just real exercise?

I completed a 2 mile run using the Other workout option on the treadmill and I then lifted weights for 45 minutes at the gym both yesterday and today (after the new update for the Apple watch). I additionally walked briskly to and from the office which is a 1 mile walk. The watch logged 1 minute of exercise both days. Everything was tracking fine prior to yesterday's watch OS update. I was very happy with the watch prior to this point having switched from my Fitbit. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with the OS update at this point. I did check and had the location services already enabled as pointed out for calibrating so that excuse doesn't apply.
