Jun 9, 2015 4:30 PM in response to acmacby George Mattingly,Upgrading to Yosemite won't solve this. We've been running OS X 10.9.5 for months & this problem just started happening (within the past month). But we might have found a solution: got to Preferences > Advanced, and deselect "Turn on time zone support." For us the problem stopped immediately. Knock on wood.

Jun 9, 2015 4:36 PM in response to George Mattinglyby rkpdavid,Curious - does turning off time zone have other implications? When you travel? Seems strange that this would be the fix and will wait to see if others try it as well!

Jun 9, 2015 4:41 PM in response to rkpdavidby George Mattingly,You're right, it's only a temporary kludgy solution — because time zone support is essential when one travels. (Before my next trip I'll of course turn time zone support back on.) But if anyone from Apple is eavesdropping, this might help find the bug & then they could give us a real, clean fix.

Jun 9, 2015 4:43 PM in response to George Mattinglyby Easy61,My time zone support has always been off on my iMac but on on my MB Pro and I have the same issue on both.

Jun 9, 2015 4:54 PM in response to Easy61by George Mattingly,Oops. Just turned it back on and the disappearance problem didn't occur. (Which says to me the time zone support isn't involved.) The "fix" must have just been coincident with my turning it off. I'm astonished that Apple isn't on this.

Jun 9, 2015 4:56 PM in response to George Mattinglyby Tonic Bomb,I've always had time zone support 'ON' and this problem continues to plague me.
I think we need to continue to provide feedback to apple as per earlier posts - keep knocking' on their door.....

Jun 9, 2015 5:58 PM in response to hueyoby Andree Marie,Stating the same to plea for a remedy--since last week all new calendar entries revert to New Event. I have several New Events now on my calendar and can't reconstruct what my commitments are. Very disruptive, Apple. Please resolve.

Jun 9, 2015 6:08 PM in response to Andree Marieby hueyo,Just as a suggestion for people who are critically dependent on Calendar, you might want to take screenshots of your calendar in whatever format (daily/weekly/monthly) is most useful to you. That way you at least have something to check against if your entries go wonky.

Time zone box check/uncheck makes no difference to mine! Apple need to resolve this, and soon.

Jun 12, 2015 8:40 AM in response to hueyoby deebec,This is not helping me. It happens even when I select default calendar. It also doesn't happen immediately. I have about 2 dozen entries between July and August that are now "New Events"
