Q: slow motion lost after sync from mac to iphone

Hi,

I can capture videos in slow motion but those videos play at normal speed once Sync them via iTunes.

1. Capture videos in slow motion.

2. The videos first play in slow motion in the iPhone. There is a time line slider to move the slo-mo effect back and forth.

3. I do a back-up via iTunes including videos.

4. After syncing, the videos in the iPhone appear in one album called "Slo-Mo".

5. In the thumbnail of the video clip I can see the small dial icon that all other slow motion videos have.

6. Playing the video shows a normal speed clip without the timeline slider under the video frames view.

The videos DO retain the slo-mo "effect" in Aperture and iPhoto also. Not in the iPhone after syncing.

Any hints to solve this?  thanks

jp

    Hi Guys,

TruSloMo app is the secret solution for this issue.. Many thanks to William Wu

Download this app and choose the slo-mo video that lost its slow motion and click done and you will have it converted permanently to a slo-mo video

    Regards,

    Ayman

Same issue here, latest iOS latest OS X with all possible updates. After sync-ing a slo-mo video to MBP i am only able to play in slow mo in my MBP. If i resync the video back to the iphone6 the slo-mo feature lost. (however i have the small icon on the bottom right corner indicating as a slow motion video... but the iphone6 cannot play as slow motion anymore)

Seems to be no solution so far?

I called Apple Support and spoke with a supposed Sr. iOS Tech Advisor, and her solution was to drag and drop slo-mo videos from iPhone into iTunes and then sync, which would mean you have to play your clips back in the Videos App instead of the Photos App.   She also could not tell me if this was going to be fixed in iOS 9... garbage.

Hello, maybe a stupid question   "her solution was to drag and drop slo-mo videos from iPhone into iTunes and then sync, which would mean you have to play your clips back in the Videos App instead of the Photos App." if i simply SYNC my iphone with iTunes then all the videos go into Photos App... My Video App is empty. How shall i sync that videos show up in the Video App?

Should I drop it to the Movies?

    Thanks.

    Dont panic!!

Just use the app "SuperSlo" because the 240 fps are still in the clip.

The Apple Photos App just does not show the SloMo option anymore.

iOS 9 did not fix this.  Movies in the "Slo-mo" folder but synced through iTunes (Aperture) play only at normal speed.

TThis is a little misleading for me. I have iPhone 6 with iOS 8 and macbook with 10.10. I sync my slow-mow videos with iPhoto App. I am able to change the slow mo timing after sync and whach and export as slow mo on MAC!

PRoblem comes when i sync the slow mo videos to my iphone with iTunes and it shows up under slow mo videos but i loose all the slow mo options On iPhon.

With photo app on Mac this is not a problem.

I can't understand how Apple has not fixed this problem yet. It has been a whole year and not everyone uses iCloud photos. I prefer to sync with my computer and know that all my stuff is secure locally. It seems to be iTunes is the issue because the Photo app continues to play the slow motion with no problem. I can only hope for a fix with El Capitan

Unfortunately, not yet.  I have an iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 9.0.2 syncing with Photos 1.1 on a Late 2013 iMac running OS X 10.11.  Slow motion videos play properly in Photos, but on my iPhone, they play at regular speed.

So I basically understand this right: You always have to save the slo-mo to a new Videofile and that one is safe to sync.

It's getting funny for me. I also have some slo-mos "lost" and can't even get them to play properly. Well my OS X is already 3 years old - I can see, why support is being dropped. And even more fun to see: That even the newest "Stuff" doesn't work.

Ich will check out this Airdrop-Thing today for the first time just to see, if I can do something usefull with it.
