Q: When I name new events in Calendar, they revert to "New Event"

I have used Calendar for years and only recently had this glitch: I create and name a new event in my calendar as normal, only when I click off the event, it loses what I have input (Eg. "Meet Sarah") with "New Event". It retains timings, repeats, calendar etc. and all other parameters, just loses the event title...?? Anyone else had this? I am on OSX 10.9.5 and it is Calendar 7.0

MacBook (13-inch Late 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

This is happening to me as well. My named event becomes "New Event" even when I click return to finalize the event.
OSX 10.9.5/Calendar 7.0 (1841.1)

I just tried this page that was found on Apple Support: iCloud: Advanced Calendar and iCal troubleshooting - Apple Support
Didn't help this issue we are experiencing. Ugh! Apple please help us out!

Many are having the same issue. See here: new entries revert to "new event"

Go to apple.com/feedback and select 'calendar' and submit feedback to let them know there is a bug in iCal

Having the same issue - it also happens when I do the same thing on my IPhone 6.0. Trying to figure if it's an CAL issue or ICloud issue. apple need some help?
