Q: Do I need a special blank DVD disk to burn an image using Disk Utility?
I need to make copies of a simple 30-minute DVD. I've used Disk Utility to put an .rmg file on the desktop of my 2008 Macbook (slot-loading optical drive but no DVD burner on this laptop). Now I need some blank DVD-R discs so I can use Disk Utility to burn the .rmg file. (Thanks again to Old Toad for telling me how to do that.)
Before I go out and buy a bunch of blank DVDs: are all blank DVD discs okay for a job like this? Is there anything I should know about before buying 50 DVD-Rs, most of which I'll never use? Since I'll be burning at 1x and the file is small, I figured the Verbatim 4.7 GB >16x should work, or the Maxell equivalent, but thought I'd better ask someone who's done this before. Thanks!

Many thanks! (Wow, is anything really that simple?)
