Just install MS Office on the startup disk. To free space on the startup disk you can move the Home folder to the second disk

Servers EnterpriseThe author of the (installer) package will have defined whether it can be installed on a drive other than the boot drive. Some software will not work if not installed in the location it expects. Clearly this applies to Microsoft Office.
