Q: I can't see message history on my Macbook Pro.

Messages dissapear on my macbook after a few minutes.  The senders name or number remains but the message is blank. My iphone number is enabled under preferences. Running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

    Hi,

     

    Might be corrupted Messages preferences (.plist)

     

     

    Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

     

    Type or copy / paste the following:

     

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.messaging.expire.plist

     

    Click Go then move the com.apple.messaging.expire.plist file to the Trash.

     

     

    Restart your Mac then empty the Trash. Then launch the Messages app to see if that helped.

    Thank you for the suggestion Carolyn.  I did as you instructed but it still not working.  I sent a message from my macbook.  It appeared on my iPhone as a text message, then dissapeared from the macbook.
