Having same issue with this guy: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7054841?searchText=touch screen. The touch screen does not response sometimes, or goes dared everyone when I was trying to touch it.

That seems like something that is under warranty. I'd suggest to go into an Apple Store to discuss the issue. Maybe they will give a replacement.
I had similar with my watch, I rebooted and all came ok, its fine now.
