Q: The current Macbook Pro (2015) does not have an audio input jack? Only an headphone jack?

The Apple article on using the headphone jack as an input is dated March 2015, but I tried plugging in a guitar with 1/4 in. to 1/8 in. cable and Macbook did not detect an input. I'm guessing this feature is not present on current Macbooks? Also, I didn't damage my headphone out did I??

Unfortunately, there is not an audio input jack on MacBooks Pro anymore. Anyway, do not worry, because you did not damage the headphone jack .
