Jun 17, 2015 12:37 AM in response to glennhasteby King_Penguin,What type of content do you want to sync from your Mac to your iPad ?
Syncing with iTunes : Sync your iPhone, iPad, and iPod with iTunes using USB - Apple Support
If using the previous version of iTunes (iTunes 11) : iTunes 11 for Mac: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
If you want to copy documents/files to your apps on your iPad then how you do so will depend upon what the app supports e.g. file sharing via iTunes : About File Sharing on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
And/or copying via your wifi network, email, Dropbox
If you've never synced the iPad to that computer before : Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive
Some of the steps on that page have changed slightly (it was written for a previous version of iTunes) :
5, is now File > Devices > Transfer Purchases
6, 'Reset Warnings' at the bottom of the phone's Summary tab in iTunes
7, File > Devices > Back Up
8, File > Devices > Restore from Backup (or Restore Backup button on the Summary tab)
(I've asked for your post to be moved to the Using iPad forum, where you've posted is for questions about the iTunes U app.)
