Jun 18, 2015 7:08 AM in response to SinnottBrosby Kurt Lang,The legal use of it will be in the font's information when viewing it in Font Book, or other font manager that can display a font's copyright restrictions (if any). Generally, the font's info will tell you if it can be embedded in a document and other direct usage terms.
The specific font terminology from the Mavericks EULA:
E. Fonts. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, you may use the fonts included with the Apple Software to display and print content while running the Apple Software; however, you may only embed fonts in content if that is permitted by the embedding restrictions accompanying the font in question. These embedding restrictions can be found in the Font Book/Preview/Show Font Info panel.
Neither of the above is a very clear answer to your question. If in doubt, call Apple's Customer Support. Or, contact Apple Legal. Choose Copyright Information from the drop down menu and fill in the resulting fields. No idea how long it would be until you get a response.
